An unfunded requirement or UFR is how your shop competes for additional funding resources within your organization and your service-level programs. Justify your request by emphasizing the impact to the mission. Think: What will happen for the mission if you do get the money? What will happen to the mission if you don't get the money?

Use this template to craft a robust UFR that includes:

  • Funding Request
  • Summary Statement
  • Requirement Description
  • Impact if Not Funded/Capability Lost
