Effectively formatting your script will assist you with producing your story. A visual media news story is only heard and seen by the audience, not read in print. When writing a script for a visual media news story, keep in mind your audience needs to understand what is happening the first time they see your story, because it may be the only time they see it. The audience cannot go back and reread something if they miss it.
