DINFOS instructor USMC Capt. Dave Morris explains how to use evaluation to determine if communication planning has been successful in this episode of DINFOS Live.

Evaluation establishes a baseline at the very beginning and allows public affairs professionals to see the impacts being made and the gaps that need to be filled. Captain Morris stresses the importance of continuously evaluating throughout the RPIE process in order to justify the work being done.

This episode clarifies various reasons why communication plans sometimes fail, why stakeholders might reject communication efforts, and how to course correct to ensure success and meet objectives.
