What's new with PACS-Q? DINFOS's Public Affairs and Communication Strategy Directorate director, U.S. Army Lt. Col. Charles "Kip" Patterson, joins the DINFOS Live team to discuss why the DoD fundamentally changed the way it trains its public affairs and communication strategy officers through the Public Affairs & Communication Strategy Qualification Course.

Lt. Col. Patterson speaks to prospective students as well as leaders, practitioners and military communication professionals who are preparing to send their team members to attend the Public Affairs and Communication Strategy Qualification course at DINFOS. He sets expectations, talks about the foundation the course provides, and discusses why the course is different today than in the past.

In addition, Lt Col. Patterson answers questions from the audience about:

  • Consistency of fundamentals, such as AP style.
  • Updates on doctrine and best practices.
  • Training for staff integration.
